How it works:
Simply positioned in-line on the hose to the turbo waste gate actuator, with the hose tail in-line with the adjusting bolt to an intake source and the other to the actual waste gate actuator. Instructions are provided.
The boost controller uses the renowned and proven Dawes method to accurately regulate the flow of air to the turbo waste gate actuator, thus allowing the pressure signal magnitude to be reduced, keeping your waste gate actuator from activating for longer and hence spooling your turbocharger more to create an increase in boost pressure.
It not only allows regulation of boost pressure but delays the pressure signal to the turbo waste gate actuator until the pre-calibrated boost limit is met. Thus significantly reducing waste gate creep, to give faster spool times, hence decreasing turbo lag and resulting in increased throttle response. This desirable characteristic can also be achieved without actually increasing your boost pressure.
The stainless steel 8mm allen key bolt is simply turned clockwise to increase boost level and anti-clockwise to lower it again and secured in position via a stainless steel 17mm nut.
I must stress this is NOT a generic bleed valve! Bleed valves intrinsically just bleed pressure off the waste gate actuator line and do nothing to help waste gate creep, often creating severe pressure spiking and risk causing engine damage due to the large volumes of pre-metered air they bleed off from the intake system.
We strongly advise to start with the bolt wound out to its maximum position to ensure you do not initially over boost your engine, and research what the recommend boost limit is for your specific engine.
Ideally this MBC should be setup in conjunction with a pressure gauge to ensure the recommended boost level for your engine is not exceeded.
